Description:

This 3D visualization represents my contribution to the Beehive Installation - a collaborative art project created by 26 design students, where each hexagonal unit reflects an individual’s experiences, memories, and cultural roots. Together, these modules form a collective structure that celebrates diversity and shared creativity.

My concept is inspired by Sarafa Market in Indore, a place that left a lasting impression on me. During the day, Sarafa glitters with rows of jewelry shops, capturing the city’s traditional craftsmanship. But as night falls, the same lanes transform into a bustling street-food heaven filled with aromas, chatter, and vibrant energy.

One evening, while exploring the market, I met an elderly vendor who shared stories about Sarafa’s heritage- how the space evolved over decades, how traditions were preserved, and how every corner holds a memory of the people who’ve passed through. That conversation changed how I viewed the place. It became more than just a market; it became a living archive of culture, community, and connection.

Through my installation piece, I wanted to capture this duality and warmth. It reflects the idea that spaces are not just physical - they are stories we walk into, memories we carry forward, and experiences that quietly shape who we become. Sarafa Market, in its own way, made me feel like a small part of its ongoing story, and this work is my tribute to that connection.
